Thank you for joining me for the 2nd ‘Fascinating Friday!’ The last one, featuring the $250,000,000 home at 924 Bel Air Road, was a big hit with you all, so I really hope that you enjoy what I have for today! If you didn’t see the last ‘Fascinating Friday,’ you can view it here. 😊
Ok, so this Friday we are looking at the first of two parts featuring some of the most unique and incredible places that you can stay! Get ready to be amazed!
Here we go…
The 727 Fuselage Hotel Suite, Costa Rica
This 727 Fuselage hotel suite is a refurbished vintage 1965 Boeing 727 airframe, which, in its prior life, shuttled globetrotters on South Africa Air and Avianca Airlines (Colombia). This fully outfitted, meticulously detailed, two bedroom, Boeing 727 fuselage suite jets out from the jungle canopy, affording you views that will make you feel like you’re flying.
There is a picture it at night! So cool!
Furnishings are hand-carved, teak furniture from Java, Indonesia.
The 727 home features two air-conditioned bedrooms–one with two queen sized beds and the other with one queen sized bed, each with its own private bath, a flat-screen TV, a kitchenette with microwave, dining area foyer, an ocean view terrace, a private entrance up a river rock, spiral staircase, and 360 degrees of surrounding gardens.
Enjoy an evening on the terrace while sipping a glass of wine and observing your tree top neighbours: sloths, toucans, monkeys and more.
Enjoy Ocean views!!
Such awesome night colours!
Another example of the accommodations!
Icehotel, Jukkasjärvi, Sweden
The Icehotel is a hotel rebuilt each year with snow and ice in the village of Jukkasjärvi, in northern Sweden.
Check out some of these pictures!
The entrance!
One of the bedrooms!!
Imagine sitting there, having a drink out of glasses made from ice!
Or read a book in this awesome ice chair!
You ever seen a staircase made from ice before?
Check out all of the jellyfish made from ice!
A bed held by hands!
Check out the colours!
That is a lot of snow blocks!
Some of the many carvings at the hotel!
That must have taken a long time! Someone is very talented!
And last but not least…The Ice Chandelier!!
Skylodge Adventure Suites, Peru
To sleep at Skylodge, people must climb 400 meters of Via Ferrata or hike an intrepid trail through zip lines. One night at this place will make your dreams come true. Packages include breakfast and gourmet dinner with wine, transportation from Cuzco and professional bilingual guides.
A picture of one of the suites at night!
Imagine standing right there! Such a great view.
Breakfast up in the air!
View of the river!
Have you ever wanted to sleep in a condor’s nest? Here is the next best thing! A transparent luxury capsule that hangs from the top of a mountain in the Sacred Valley of Peru.
Located in the Sacred Valley of Cuzco, Peru, the exclusive Skylodge Adventure Suites offers you the chance to sleep within a completely transparent hanging bedroom, that allows you to appreciate the impressive view of this magic and mystic valley.
The restaurant!
It would be soo cool to eat that high up!
Inside one of the suites!
How did you enjoy the 2nd ‘Fascinating Friday?’ I really hope you enjoyed it, and if you did, stick around for Part 2!
Which place did you find the most fascinating?
Which one do you want to stay at the most?
Until Next Time,
Very interesting to read! I despise heights so I could never do the one in Peru!! The first one was kinda neat, almost like staying in the jungle or something. I’d say the ice one was my favorite, although that bed being held by hands felt a little creepy to me! I love the chandelier though, it’s gorgeous! All these excotic places are very neat, even though, I’d probably stay somewhere simpler…I’m a bit of a homebody so I might need somewhere that reminded me of home a bit more! 😉

Thanks! Yes, the one in Peru is pretty freaky! You have to be comfortable with heights! The jungle one is pretty exotic, I could probably stay there. I think it would be cool to stay in the Ice Hotel, they make sure that you don’t freeze! They have specialized sleeping bags and ways to make sure you stay warm! I AGREE, THE BED HELD BY HANDS IS SOO CREEPY! I could never sleep there. 😂 I agree with you, these places are fun to look at, but I would much rather stay somewhere less strange…like a beach house on the ocean, or a cabin in the mountains. These are just a little too exotic for me, too 😂 Thanks for the comment!

Nice! You must like heights then? 😂 Yea, I bet! People from South Carolina would die from the cold! Yea, I’d have bad dreams all night! Yes, for sure!! I’ve never stayed at beach house and I’d love to! My pleasure! 😊

Actually, I’m not sure if I could do it! Ha, yeah, I’m sure! IKR!! 😂 😂 Who could sleep there? You live in South Carolina, and you haven’t been to a beach house? People travel from all over the place to visit Myrtle Beach! If you want to stay in a beach house, you should really check out Outer Banks, NC! The rentals are incredible, with almost every rental having a private heated pool and hot tub! It’s a really cool vacation destination. 😃

Whoa, these are STRANGE, but neat! O.o XD My favorite was the ice palace – although it looks rather chilly. :[] I can’t imagine how long it would have taken to carve all those sculptures and furniture pieces!

Oh wow, I had no idea resorts like this even existed, haha!! That plane hotel looks absolutely amazing, and the ice hotel looks like a version of Elsa’s castle from Frozen! Both are really cool 😀

Whoa! First of all, Hi!
Second, those look like amazing experiences! I’m not so sure about the ice hotel though…too cold for me XD. A view from the side of a cliff sounds interesting.
